Job Duties:
- Responsible for all General Ledger job duties
- Oversee the preparation, submission, and tracking of AIA billing documents in accordance with project milestones.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely billing based on contract terms and conditions.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of AIA billing software and industry standards to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Generate accurate and timely financial reports for construction projects, providing insights into project financial performance.
- Reconcile project costs, revenue, and expenses to ensure financial data integrity.
- Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements for project stakeholders.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets, providing insights into potential financial risks and opportunities.
- Collaborate with project teams to create accurate financial forecasts, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Implement and maintain effective cost control measures to monitor and manage project expenditures.
- Analyze cost variances and work with project teams to address and mitigate any financial discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Construction Accountant with expertise in AIA billing.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in AIA billing software and other relevant accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
