Controller
About the Company and Controller opportunity:
A growing, top client has a newly created Controller opportunity due to growth. This is a high growth opportunity to assist with developing and setting the direction of the Accounting/Finance function with high rewards. This client is looking to move quickly for the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Controller:
- Prepare monthly financial statements for review by controller and business manager
- Review general ledger detail monthly
- Perform monthly balance sheet analysis and reconciliation of the budget vs. actual income analysis
- Post payroll entries into accounting system
- Prepare monthly sales tax reports
- Handle semi-annual circulation audits
- Handle all property tax returns
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the Controller:
- Accounting degree
- CPA preferred but not required
- Thorough knowledge of general accounting
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Proficient in Accounting Software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
