Title: Configuration Technician
Shift: 8am- 5pm
Pay rate: $17.50hr
Duration: Temp to Hire
 
 
Position Summary:
 
The Configuration Technician is responsible for assembling electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or products in accordance with precise product specifications. This role involves following established procedures and applying expertise in wiring, soldering, component installation, and cable harnessing to ensure accurate assembly of units. Additionally, the Configuration Technician is tasked with maintaining conformance to specified tolerances and may be required to disassemble and troubleshoot malfunctions. Other duties may include assembling test kits and performing packing or labeling tasks.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
- Assemble electronic or electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or products following product specifications.
- Apply knowledge of wiring, soldering, component installation, and cable harnessing techniques.
- Ensure conformance to specified tolerances.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform necessary corrective actions.
- Perform additional tasks such as assembling test kits or other packing/labeling duties.
 
Qualifications:
 
- Established and productive individual contributor.
- Ability to work under moderate supervision.
- Capable of solving routine problems, occasionally requiring interpretation or deviation from standard procedures.
- Proficient in making minor adjustments to working methods.
- Effective communication skills for conveying information that may require explanation or interpretation.
- Provides administrative or technical support at an intermediate level.
- Still gaining or have attained full proficiency in their specific area of discipline.
- Works on semi-routine assignments, recognizing the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.
- May seek advice from senior personnel in the functional area.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-1 year of general experience, with 1 year of functional experience strongly desired.
- Acquires job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks effectively.
