Press Brake Operator - Full-time

Purpose:

Operate press brake to form, bend, punch, notch variety of standard work. Incumbent must also and will be responsible for ensuring products meet our quality standards with regard to customer specifications.

Essential Functions:

1. Set-up tooling and Program Press Brake per Customer CAD Data
2. Operate press brake
3. Work from blueprints, drawings to meet customer specifications an tolerances
4. Trouble shoot machine and adjust the functions and settings of machines
5. Perform necessary quality inspections to ensure that parts meet guidelines
6. Perform preventative and regular maintenance on press to ensure that their operational life is extended
7. Conduct operations in a manner that promote safety. Compile with OSHA and MDSD Standards.
8. Participate in 6S activities

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED; technical degree preferred
2. Experience in press brake programming, operations and change overs.
3. Hands on mechanical skills
4. Experience using height gages and calipers
5. Knowledge of blue print reading
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
7. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
8. Analytical and problem solving skills
9. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts desired
10. Compliance with all health and safety regulations, policies and procedures
11. Strong attention to detail
12. Must have regular attendance as well as willingness and ability to work overtime
