The Opportunity

Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Proposal Supervisor - Power & Renewables within Enterprise Operational Services (EOS). This role with focus on leading the Power and Renewable Proposal team to foster on-the-job leadership development while supporting team efficiency and growth. This position will also continue to support large and/or complex proposals and assist the team with complex assignments. This individual will report to the Proposal Manager and will interact closely with other corporate business units such as technical services, marketing, sales, and project management. The proposal Supervisor is a self-starter with knowledge in leadership, communication, resource management and process development.

What you'll do

Leadership Responsibilities (60%)

  • Provides leadership and oversight for employees on achieving individual, team, and department performance goals.
  • Mentor, train, and develop staff members for growth and development opportunities.
  • Participate in identifying training and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Perform individual performance reviews and goal setting for team members.
  • Facilitate meetings for proposal team and broader sales team
  • Actively manage team resources and the proposal queue.
  • Prepare and manage content for proposal communication platforms (Uconnect/Viva Engage, etc.)
  • Maintain company-wide consistency for processes, templates, corporate guidelines, and other standards as needed.
  • Lead or assist with development of new processes, efficiency tools, and databases at the team and company level.
  • Assists with maintaining team budgets.

Proposal Responsibilities (40%)

  • Manages all aspects of the proposal process and timelines ensuring accountabilities for all stakeholders.
  • Leads the draft response document and draft estimate creation efforts and collaborates with pursuit team to ensure accuracy of inputs.
  • Partners with technical, sales, and field services teams to secure input from all stakeholders.
  • Optimize scope to address client needs and ensure our response is clear and compelling.
  • Maintain company-wide consistency for proposals, templates, corporate guidelines, and other standards and industry best practices
  • Prepare proposal development plan (PDP), manage assignments, manage communication, and overall organization of the proposal response.
  • Manage/facilitate subcontractor elements of a proposal, if needed.

What We Expect from You

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, communications, or technology
  • 10+ years of experience in sales/business development, client management, and engineering in the power or renewables market
  • Proven experience to scope and develop effective proposals
  • Strong business acumen: project management, proposals, and consulting engineering
  • Client centric oriented behavior
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to develop and foster lasting relationships
  • Proficient computer skills utilizing Microsoft software programs and add-ins
  • Excellent organizational and follow through skills
  • Ability to work effectively across diverse work groups as well as manage by influence
  • Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity. Has the ability to work through ambiguity to clarify and determine a path forward

  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the US

Additional Opportunity Details:
Compensation Range is Generally +/- 15% of Position Mid-Point of $121,000
