Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician 
Pay Range:
$30-35/ hourly 
Work Schedule: 2nd shift: Monday-Thursday 5pm-3:30am

POSITION OVERVIEW: Maintenance Technician performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.  They must possess strong electrical and mechanical skills in order to support the production associates in maintaining an efficient operation.  Technician must be flexible and adaptable as they will be required to perform job assignments throughout the manufacturing facility.  In addition, it is the responsibility of the technician to contribute to maintaining a safe work environment for their fellow technicians, associates and themselves.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
  • Perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machinery.
  • Responds to and corrects equipment stoppage/mechanical breakdown.  Troubleshoots (when necessary).  Repairs/replaces worn/defective parts, motors, control devices, etc.
  • Operates machine shop equipment, hand tools, power tools and makes required repairs as necessary.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area.
  • Position requires ability to act as a member of a highly functioning team.
  • Practices and complies with all Company policies and procedures including safety and work rules, etc.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, strong work ethic, respects authority.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years experience as a technician and/or formal training in a manufacturing   plant.
  • Operate a scissor lift and forklift

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently. 
  • Machine rebuilds including gearboxes and motors.
  • General and/or efficient knowledge of schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • General knowledge in welding (stick, argon and mig) is a plus.
  • Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards. 
  • Three phase electrical.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to stand a minimum of eight hours to a maximum of 16 hours on a daily basis.
  • Ability to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of twenty (20) feet.
  • Ability to stoop and bend while lifting weights up to fifty (50) pounds.  Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb onto and crawl under machinery as required.
  • Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, walking, etc., as job may require.
