Pride Health is currently looking candidates for Medical Lab Scientist I position in Tulsa, OK This is 6 months with possible extension.
Location: Tulsa, OK 74104
Schedule: 2nd shift
2-10:30 PM 5 x 8 Schedule
Pay range - $26 - $30/hr. (Pay depends on candidate's experience and skills.)
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities are interchangeable within job titles of medical laboratory scientist (MLS), medical technologist or clinical laboratory scientist.
- Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
- Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
- Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
- Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls.
- Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
- Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
Qualifications:
- Seeking an MLS/MT or MLT experienced in Blood Bank - will be supporting Blood Bank Department
- Minimum 5yrs of clinical laboratory testing experience is required.
Education:
- ASCP certification is required.
- BS MT, or MLT, BS with relevant experience.
