Job Description

Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Department: Shipping

Report to: Shipping Supervisor

Position Summary: Packages products for shipment to domestic and international customers. Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: Reviews shipping orders, bills of lading, invoices and Bills of Material. Determines shipping priorities and methods to meet schedules using required shipping procedures. Prepares shipping orders utilizing computer software. Ensures accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. Records shipment of orders in ATS System. Must become familiar with the quality systems documents within the department referenced on the Required Training Matrix (RTM-100). Frequent contact with employees in Inside Sales, Purchasing, Accounting, and Quality Control. Frequent contact with freight forwarding companies.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Specific Job Skills:

Must have basic computer skills in order to prepare shipping orders and enter data into ATS System.

Must be able to read and understand bills of lading, invoices, production orders, and Bills of Material.

Must be able to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications:

High school education or have equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred. Will receive on-the-job training for some essential functions and job skills.

Pay Range:

$17.50 - $26.00
