Job Description
Thank you for your interest in Skyline Education! AZ Compass campus is a tuition-free K-12 and paid PreK campus. It is comprised of a Preschool (Skyline Early Academic Center), K-6 charter school (Vector Prep and Arts School) and a 7-12 charter school (AZ Compass Prep School). We focus on Academics, Arts, and Athletics to deliver a well-rounded education to students. We’ve found that a robust, comprehensive education not only engages students more fully in the present but leads to stronger outcomes for their future.
We are looking for a certified special education teacher to work with our high school population at AZ Compass Prep School in Chandler, AZ. Candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside our strong Special Education professionals and collaborate with general education teachers in order improve student outcomes and develop educators to reach all students. Our community is small and tight-knit that services the local neighborhood.
Due to our small size, the staff has a unique opportunity to build relationships with our students and families that extend many generations, who pride themselves on dedicating their time and energy to grow connections through support and positive interactions. AZ Compass has a growing caseload in grades 7-12 to which we mostly serve through an itinerant model, pushing into the general education setting, in order to build their independence. Collaboration and small group instruction will be imperative to provide the necessary specialized instruction for success for both the students and the staff.
Teacher candidate must be certified by the Arizona Department of Education for Special Education, Cross-Categorical or Mild-Moderate disabilities is preferred. Candidate must also have an IVP Fingerprint Clearance card from the State of Arizona. Salary is dependent upon experience and we offer a comprehensive benefits package.
