Supervisor, Production (2nd Shift)

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to leads and operators within your department.
• Learn the fundamental operational aspects of your primary depart along with the inbound and outbound workflows.
• Organize and manage the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
• Oversee, motivate, and coach leads and operators.
• Understand and ensure the safe use of the equipment within your department.
• Manage and assume accountability for production output according to specifications and UPH targets.
• Inspect and ensure high quality and accuracy of all manufacturing within your department.
• Collect and submit reports on performance and progress to the operations manager.
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
• Train new employees on how to safely operate equipment and follow procedures.
• Enforce safety guidelines and company standards.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost reduction is required.
• Participates in monthly, quarterly, and year-end physical inventories in accordance with corporate guidelines.
• May be responsible for special projects related to other functional areas.

Requirements and Critical Competencies

• Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
• Experience in using various types of manufacturing equipment
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office
• Organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and team player
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Detail Oriented and highly organized.
• Ability to meet customer deadlines, including overtime if necessary

• Ability & willingness to lead and work in a matrix organization with direct & indirect reporting relationships.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma; Degree in a manufacturing or relevant field will be an advantage.
• Experience – A minimum of 3 years of overall manufacturing supervisor experience is required.
• Language – English fluency is required; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Physical Demand

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• stand, sit, walk, and move about the facility for the entire shift which may include extended hours.
• frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, and pulling of items and item containers can also be expected.
