CIVIL ENGINEERING CAD TECHNICIAN - TRAFFIC

Summary

EMH&T is currently looking for a CAD Technician to join our Traffic team in Columbus, OH. EMH&T provides new hires with a comprehensive and robust training experience for anyone working in Autocad and civil 3D. As part of our Traffic team, you may be part of projects including, bikeway/pedestrian design, signal/signal system design, MOT (maintenance of traffic), and highway/site lighting. You will work under the mentorship of a seasoned Designer, Engineer or Project Manager, drafting basic engineering design components (i.e. plans, profiles, easements, plats, etc). Assigned work is typically minor base map changes, e.g. making “redlined” corrections, mark-ups or setup drawings from grading points and work changes. Corrections to work products are reviewed. You will finish and duplicate drawings, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction. You will learn and follow prescribed EMH&T drafting standards or other required standards as directed by your manager, e.g. ODOT standards; and may prepare exhibits.

Qualifications

Some specialized training or experience with one or more CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Open Roads (ORD), Integraph, or ARC/INFO. Knowledge of basic math (geometry) involved in the production and use of drawings or models.
