Are you an experience in Preventative Maintenance and looking for a job where your attention to detail and experience can make a difference? Look no further! Villari Foods is currently seeking an PM Maintenance Trainee to join our team in Warsaw, North Carolina.

 

As a 3rd Shift Preventative Maintenance Trainee, you will engage in a leadership program led by the Preventative Maintenance Program Lead. This program will help you with mechanical skills, electrical troubleshooting, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, control wiring, motor maintenance, and workplace safety. As you work through the program, you will assist maintenance teams and support all aspects of the maintenance department as needed or directed. Maintenance Trainees will learn how to work safely within a high-volume food manufacturing facility. Throughout the learning process of this program, you could move into a Maintenance Technician position with Villari Foods and/or The Pork Company.


Job duties:


  • Works with Program Lead and/or Maintenance Technicians to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
  • Assist the Program Lead and/or Maintenance Technicians in evaluating systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed to keep the plant up and running.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment or machinery.
  • Learn LOTO procedures.
  • Learn how to perform completion PMs.
  • Learn how to maintain chemical levels.
  • Assist with refrigeration issues.
  • Learn how to rebuild equipment and how determine the cause of electrical issues.
  • Follows all work safety policies and guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and repair motion control devices.
  • Troubleshoot, install, and repair motor control circuits.
  • Troubleshoot and repair e-stop circuits.
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by Supervisor or Management.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from personnel inside and outside the company.
  • Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
  • Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Procedures) product standards and guidelines.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Performs other tasks assigned by the Program Lead or upper management.
  • Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled training and work hours.

 

To qualify for this job, you must have:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • Vocational Training is a plus but not required.
  • Must be able to follow diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturing instructions
  • Must be able to read schematics.
  • Must be able to perform basic troubleshooting.
  • With appropriate supervision and training, must be able to handle situations involving electrical meetings water.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
