CAD System Operator

Overall Responsibility:

Produce CAD drawings utilizing Silver Screen and SWA Super Walls System and Auto Cad software.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

•     Receive drawings/blueprint and necessary project details from builder and produce into Superior Walls drawing for production department
•     Maintain understanding of the system’s capability
•     Create detailed production and installation drawings to be reviewed with the Operations Manager
•     Analyze project details to recognize details that may have been wrongly interpreted. Note such items on drawing to avoid costly mistakes
•     To ultimately provide accurate production take-off drawings for cost accounting and inventory control purposes
•     To produce accurate installation plans for use by the set crew to facilitate smooth and efficient installation of all jobs
•     Produce loading sheets to guide panel placement on trucks

Skills and Attributes:

•      Certification or diploma from high school or trade/technical school with emphasis on construction/design or equivalent job experience
•      Basic knowledge in the field of construction masonry or carpentry
•      General computer skills and familiarity with CAD and spreadsheets
•      Ability to cooperate with office and production personnel
•      Good ability in math and skill in measurements
•      Good communication skills
•      Good organizational skills and attention to detail

Experience Requirement:

• 5 years CAD draftsman
  
• Precast Concrete experience a plus 

Education Requirement:

•        High School graduate level math skills
