The Quality Control Manager will be involved in the implementation, oversight and management of all aspects of Quality Control program, the management and coordination of all documentation performed by testing personnel and any other inspection personnel required by contract. The QA/QC Manager role includes direct oversight and review of the entire documentation and physical inspection phase of the work flow process and working with other in-house personnel to include Project Managers, Superintendents, etc, and external personnel to produce and document a quality product.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, document, and track preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections.
  • Be involved in weekly QC meetings with the superintendent and provide written reports as described Provide daily QC reports that reinforce activities that are being constructed in conformance with each specific project's established standard. Create, update and maintain other quality control reports as required.
  • Verify and document that all materials received for the project are in conformance with the approved submittal, are handled and stored appropriately and are acceptable for use in the project.
  • Be involved with pre-construction meetings with new and existing subcontractors and the superintendent prior to the start of each new phase of the work to discuss issues that affect quality.
  • Track construction deficiencies and ensure timely implementation of, and verify, all approved corrective actions.
  • Help coordinate and document the testing and commissioning of building systems, review results, and submit.
  • Maintain the project "as-built" drawings on a daily basis.
  • Assist project team to ensure subcontractor compliance to Project Site Specific Safety Plan and perform safety inspections and audits as required by Company practices.
  • Assist with developing and organizing storage of safety documentation.

Quality Standards for this role:

  • Skilled at maintaining and documenting conformance to developed quality plan
  • Able to monitor/manage deficiencies to quality plan and work to completion
  • Understands and monitors testing and inspection process. Maintains a positive relationship with those agencies
  • Able to identify the accuracy of subcontractor work
  • Understand inspection requirements by city, county, and state to receive TCO & CO
  • Aviation experience required

Safety/Work Environment Standards for this role:

  • Able to inspect site daily for conformance to safety standard and take measures to maintain
  • Able to perform required safety audits
  • Understands and practices safety culture and leads by example
  • Able to perform start up orientations for subcontractor employees and can score and record TSTI
  • Capable of maintaining records as per company safety policies/procedures
  • Minimum of 30 HR OSHA and company required training including Safety training
  • Understands the importance of conducting thorough and accurate safety audits (weekly minimum)
  • Understands procedures for OSHA inspections
