Summary: The Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator performs, plans, directs, coordinates and controls all facility maintenance to ensure proper safety, sanitation and mechanical functions for the facility including grounds and equipment.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A: Job Specific:
  1. Arrive on time and ready to work assigned schedule.
  2. Present all paperwork required in an accurate and timely manner.
  3. Interact with co-workers, other professionals, and all interested parties in a professional manner.
  4. Take direction, interact, and maintain open communication with supervisor.
  5. Cooperate with supervisors, subordinates, and co-workers.
  6. Attend all scheduled meetings.
  7. Supervise, mentor and evaluate a team utilizing systems to promote performance, establish clear expectations, promote staff growth and development, provide constructive feedback, recognize success, correct undesirable work performance, focus on employee success and develop cohesive teamwork.
  8. Monitor employee work hours to ensure accurate recording of hours worked, manage overtime and approve time sheets.
  9. Organize workflow and prioritize the work of staff for maximum efficiency.
  10. Conduct facility inspections to determine maintenance, and safety.
  11. Complete all building maintenance as required or as directed by supervisor.
  12. Perform routine repairs as needed.
  13. Coordinate and monitor subcontractors to ensure work is completed as bid.
  14. Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule and assist in repairs on tools and equipment.
  15. Obtain proper authorization and purchase requests when required.
  16. Maintain an inventory of supplies and tools needed to maintain Tresco facilities.
  17. Maintain a facility maintenance log for all locations.
  18. Inspect all life-safety devices regularly.

  8. Must always carry work phone while on duty; respond to phone calls, text messages, and emails in a timely manner.
  9. This position may require the employee to operate either a company owned or personal vehicle on behalf of the company; the company owned vehicle should always remain clean.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  1. Maintain confidentiality of all information regarding clients and employees of Tresco.
  2. Familiar with and follow all policies and procedures of Tresco.
  3. Proficient in English – both oral and written communication skills
  4. Follow universal precautions and all work practice controls established by OSHA and Tresco’s Exposure Control Plan.
  5. Participate in staff development training as assigned.
  6. Project friendly and helpful attitude.
  7. Responsible for maintaining safe working environment.

Experience: Three years’ experience in building maintenance one year must be supervisory experience or equivalent education and experience totaling four years of which one must be supervisory.

Education: High School diploma or GED Five (4) years of facilities maintenance experience. Excellent analytical and reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
