We are looking for a dedicated professional like you to be a part of our Canadian Family Physicians team as a PRN CMA (Certified Medical Assistant).

Canadian Family Physicians is a division of Hemphill County Hospital District, dedicated to providing the most optimal and expedient care to all patients. A few responsibilities of the CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) include: 


- Triaging patients and prepare for medical examination. 
- Educate and counsel patients concerning their disease processes and treatments, medications, and any testing required

- Administer topical, oral, or injectable medications as ordered by the Provider.

- Communicate with patients through phone calls and EMR messaging as instructed by the Provider.

- Perform phlebotomy or other lab testing as ordered by the Provider

   with properly-completed lab slips.

- Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

- Supports the organization vision and mission.



Education/ Certifications/ Licenses Requirements:


  • Current Texas RN/LVN Licensure OR current Certified Medical Assistance Certification required.
  • Current BLS certification
  • Willingness to be crossed trained to other areas


Minimum Experience, Abilities Required and Special Requirements:
- Experience with eClinicalWorks Preferred

- Exceptional organizational and time management skills preferred.

- Exceptional customer service skills preferred with a passion for serving others.

- Excellent Time Management and Organizational Skills

- Highly motivated individual with a passion for healthcare!
