OVERVIEW 

Verdani is actively seeking a contract Technology Advisor with proven advisory-level expertise to provide guidance and support. This role is crucial for reviewing and assessing both internal operations and client-facing technology infrastructure, ensuring alignment with Verdani's strategic objectives and ESG principles. The Technology Advisor will play a key role in evaluating our company wide technology stack, the development stage of our new client technology platform, and in aligning our technology road map with our business strategic goals. This position reports directly to our Technology Task Force and will collaborate closely with key leaders of the firm. Candidates with practical experience with IT, ERM tools, ESG data, GRESB, GRI, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, Measurabl, Utility data platforms, and AI for ESG are preferred. Other qualified candidates are welcome. 

PROJECT PLAN 

1. Evaluate existing plans and the current state of our client-facing technology, focusing on its technological infrastructure and potential improvements. This assessment includes reviewing partnerships for viability. 

1. Review and assess internal corporate and operations technology infrastructure, identifying areas for enhancement and optimization to improve overall efficiency. 

1. Evaluate short, medium, and long-term business strategic plans to understand the broader context of our technology needs and ensure alignment with organizational objectives. 

1. Provide guidance and assistance in developing and refining Verdani's technology roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that align with strategic goals and objectives. 

1. Advise on technology strategies to support scalability and growth, ensuring that our technological solutions remain adaptable to future organizational expansion. 

1. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to explore opportunities for technology enhancements and innovations that align with Verdani's mission and objectives. 

1. Assist in the rapid development of solutions to meet specific client needs, ensuring alignment with our overarching strategic plans. 

1. Design and assemble a development team capable of meeting the needs of operational and client-facing deliverables. This team may include a mix of internal staff and contractors to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality development. Also, support recruitment efforts and participate in preparation and evaluation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) as necessary. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Primary: 

• Assess current technology infrastructure and operations, identifying areas for improvement. 

• Provide strategic guidance on technology initiatives aligned with business goals and ESG principles. 

• Collaborate with department heads to understand technological needs and recommend innovative solutions. 

• Review and advise on cybersecurity measures and data protection protocols. 

• Evaluate technology investments and assist in budget planning. 

• Advise on vendor selection and manage vendor relationships. 

• Stay updated on technological advancements and industry trends relevant to Verdani's operations. 

• Provide expert advice on software selection, implementation, and integration. 

• Collaborate with communications/marketing teams to optimize website and content management strategies. 

• Develop “off the shelf” technology tools and products encompassing SOPs with full sets of instructions.  

Secondary: 

• Assist in the development of technology training programs for staff. 

• Support in the evaluation of tools for project management, communication, and collaboration. 

• Provide guidance on client-facing technology solutions to enhance user experience. 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS 

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field. 

• Minimum 10 years of experience in technology leadership or advisory roles. 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

• Proven track record of implementing technology strategies aligned with organizational goals. 

• Ability to work effectively in a client-facing environment. 

Preferred: 

• Master’s degree in business administration or technology. 

• Strong understanding of ESG principles and their integration with technology. 

• Experience within the commercial real estate industry or consulting/advisory firms. 

• Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards. 

SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE 

Required: 

• Enterprise Risk Management Platforms (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite). 

• Data Analytics and Visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau). 

• Cloud Platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform). 

• Cybersecurity and Data Protection software (e.g., McAfee, Symantec). 

• Project Management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Microsoft Project). 

• Collaboration Tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom). 

• Programming and Scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Scala, SQL). 

Preferred: 

• Utility data platforms (e.g., ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, Measurabl). 

• Sustainability Reporting Software (e.g., GRESB, GRI). 

• Regulatory Compliance Software (e.g., Enhesa, VelocityEHS). 

• Environmental Management Systems 

LANGUAGES 

• Fluent in English. Exceptional written and communication skills.
