Position Summary 
 
Nexstream is seeking an efficient and hardworking Administrative Assistant to join our fast-paced and growing team. The Administrative Assistant will assist with office administration and provide support to the Executive, Management, and Customer Care teams. The Administrative Assistant will work directly with our Executive Assistant and Chief Operating Officer to ensure alignment and efficiency of our operations across all teams. We are looking for an individual who will be able to devote 3 to 4 (8-hour) weekdays in our Fredericksburg office. The ideal candidate is an assertive, strong communicator, attentive to detail, able to multi-task, highly organized and is comfortable working in an active environment. Taking pride in adding value to Nexstream’s culture and vision is a key attribute in any new team member.  

 

 

Responsibilities 

 

 

  • Handle sensitive documents and records with a high level of confidentiality 
  • Accountable for the appearance, cleanliness, maintenance of office, and inventory of office supplies, as needed. 
  • Developing and implementing new administrative and operational systems and procedures 
  • Maintain file structure 
  • Assists administrative and support staff with their assigned duties, particularly when more advanced, skilled, or sensitive work is required. 

  

Qualifications 

 

  • Minimum of 2 years of clerical support in a professional office environment 
  • 2 to 4 years of Quickbooks Online experience
  • Initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Stress Management – Accepts pressure and maintains composure and perspective to actively participate in resolving issues that may arise. 
  • Results Focus - Exhibits commitment to achieving goals and consistently delivering results based on department deliverables.  
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively 
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word and Excel 
  • Must be comfortable in a rapidly changing environment and adapt easily to change 
  • Detail Orientation/Accuracy – Verifies all work; recognizes flaws or errors others may overlook. 
  • Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish (preferred but not required) 
  • High school diploma or GED
