Business Development Representative
Energy Sales
$55k-$60k + Commission/Bonus
(Average producer in the first year makes $75k-$80k)
Permanent Opportunity
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Dublin, Ohio (onsite)
What the position offers:
- $55k-$60k base; the company provides a training salary for the first few years (could be less); before converting to uncapped commission (only) and monthly discretionary bonus
- The average producer in their first year makes around $75k-$80k, and top performers are earning into the six-figure range, $100k-$200k+
- After 90 days, the following benefits are offered:
- Health Insurance – Traditional plan and HSA plan – company pays half of employee cost

What you’ll be doing:
- A growing energy company is seeking Energy Sales Representatives who will be responsible for generating new business within the country’s deregulated energy markets
- Sell natural gas, electricity, and related energy services to commercial and industrial customers out of their Dublin, Ohio office
- Conduct phone calls (90%) and face-to-face visits (10%)
- Identify revenue opportunities and sell far and wide inside their book of business
- Analyze and present savings analysis to potential customers
- Develop industry and account relationships to leverage during the sales process
Who we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience in a sales-driven, inside/outside sales environment
- Exceptional written, verbal, phone, and presentation skills
- Ability to quickly learn new processes
- Experience with an online CRM is ideal
- Ability to work under pressure, organize, and prioritize responsibilities
- Passion for educating and closing deals quickly
- Strong phone and face-to-face presentation skills
- Interest in building upon companies’ successful track record in sales
- An outgoing, dynamic personality and can build outstanding relationships
- A “can do” attitude and someone who loves to be challenged
- Metrics-oriented, organized, and has a need to win
- A strong candidate will have a proven track record in inside/outside sales, excellent communication skills, a consistent work ethic, and a desire to be a part of one of the fastest-growing energy brokerage companies in the industry!
