Salary/Pay Rate: $19.20–$28.75/hr

What’s a typical day as a Machinist?

  • Setting up and operating CNC machines.
  •  Performing machine operations according to pre-planned and established procedures.
  • Adjusting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut to machine quality parts.
  • Performing statistical process control (SPC) specific to division requirements.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent, and/or completion of a Machinist Certificate program.
  • Have 1-3 years of related machining experience. 
  • Possess working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
  •  Have CNC and/or manual machining experience.
  •  Have set-up experience and experience with a FANUC control (reading/editing G/M-code).
  •  Can use measuring equipment such as comparators, micrometers, calipers, pin or wire gauges, etc.
