Hybrid Senior Accountant - Amazing Benefits!!!

Vaco has been engaged with a fast-growing, entrepreneurial healthcare organization to help them find a new Senior Accountant! This position will be responsible for assisting the Accounting department with day-to-day operations by performing general accounting tasks, accounts payable and receivable processes, payroll, credit card and expense reporting management activities, and other accounting duties as assigned by the Vice President and Controller. This position is expected to assist with record processing and filing, transaction posting, maintaining supporting schedules for monthly close activities, and interacting with vendors, customers, and employees. The position will work on an interdepartmental and intercompany basis with all levels of the Company and its affiliates to ensure that Accounting policies are being upheld without disrupting productivity and/or organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Process biweekly payroll across multiple affiliated companies.
  • Vendor and customer management including onboarding and general maintenance.
  • Process vendor invoices, acquire approvals, and schedule payments.
  • Investigate billing discrepancies and assist with resolutions.
  • Collect vendor W-9 forms and support annual 1099 preparations.
  • Generate and distribute customer invoices.
  • Process customer and client payments.
  • Track and report accounts receivable activities.
  • Perform bank deposits and provide payment instructions to customers.
  • Assist with customer service needs and payment collection.
  • Enter daily transactions into the accounting software.
  • Maintain internal accounting schedules used in the financial close process.
  • Monitor and review employee expense reports and corporate credit card usage.
  • Support executive leaders in compiling and submitting individual expense reports.
  • Electronic filing and organization of sensitive accounting, legal, and employee documents.
  • Maintain account balances and bank statements.
  • Support the enforcement of Accounting policies and controls.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects.
  • Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of accountability.
  • Considerable knowledge of bookkeeping and general ledger tasks.
  • Considerable interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently or in a team environment.
  • Accommodating and flexible attitude; adjusts to organizational changes well and willing to go above and beyond.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
  • At least (3) years' experience in an accounting role.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications with advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Sage Intacct or a similar accounting software.
