About this job

The Help Desk Technician is responsible for managing help desk tickets ranging from tier 1 to tier 2, providing end-user support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and collaborating with the System Administrator to enhance workflows and implement new technologies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line end-user support for multiple clients.
  • Troubleshoot Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS devices.
  • Maintain and document problems in the ticketing systems with user communication.
  • Respond to user inquiries and resolve technical issues via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Provide accurate and timely solutions to user problems.
  • Onboard users, including creation of necessary accounts and credentials, physical workstation setup, and device installations.
  • Monitor and maintain patch management and updates.
  • Maintain Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365 users in the admin dashboard.
  • Monitor security portals and remediate reported issues.
  • Document all incidents, problems, and requests in the company ticketing system.
  • Identify problems in the environment and escalate them as needed.
  • Train users on IT applications, processes, and policies.
  • Travel to tradeshows nationwide to set up and support technical aspects.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience supporting Windows, Mac, iOS, Android.
  • Minimum 3-5 years working with end users and support.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience managing Microsoft Office 365 admin dashboards.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting switches, access points, and network configurations.
  • Experience in troubleshooting Microsoft Office Desktop Applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Teams and SharePoint.
  • AA degree or technical degree.
  • Strong communication skills; writing skills; professional demeanor.
  • Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision.
  • Good people skills; shows initiative and ownership.
