- Perform financial accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Manage cost accounting processes, including the calculation and allocation of variable and fixed costs, to accurately reflect the cost of goods sold and inventory valuation.
- Oversee inventory accounting activities, including reconciling inventory records, performing inventory valuation, and ensuring proper accounting treatment for inventory-related transactions.
- Support internal reporting and analysis efforts by preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and providing insights to management to facilitate decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within accounting and inventory management processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls related to financial accounting and inventory management activities.
- Assist with internal and external audit processes by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support to auditors during audit engagements.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives as assigned, contributing accounting expertise and insights to support business objectives and strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
- 5+ years of accounting experience in the manufacturing sector required.
- The ability to reconcile large volumes of data is critical.
- Understanding of and ability to adhere to GAAP.
- Highly proficient with accounting software.
