Tax Accountant

Location: Celebration, FL 34747

Pay Rate Information: $28.12 hr

Work Schedule: Hybrid role; In-Office days Tue., Wed., & Thurs.

Description:

• Participate in audit field work and respond to information requests from auditors as assigned.

• Maintain and enhance knowledge of law and developments that affect assigned business area(s).

• Analyze and audit tax account activity and communicate any issues with appropriate team members.

• Prepare/reconcile indirect tax returns & related payments in accordance with a tax calendar.

• Work with a variety of data sources. Identifies incomplete or inaccurate data, identifies root cause analysis and proposes solutions to correct issues or escalates issues to leadership.

• Support Front-of-House, SAP and Vertex interfaces to ensure sales and use tax is being properly reported in SAP.

Basic Qualifications:

To qualify for this role candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, information systems, business analytics, or a field similar to those listed. 1+ years of relevant work experience. Superior Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data tools that enable transformation and analysis of large data volumes also a plus.

• SAP and Vertex Sales Tax Return Software/Vertex L and O Series Tax Maintenance is a plus.
