Grants Billing Specialist (GA II)

Job Summary/Company:
Sparks Group has partnered with a leading healthcare research hospital and is seeking a Grants Billing Specialist. The Grants Billing Specialist will be responsible for ensuring grant accounting compliance requirements throughout accounting transactions, invoicing and financial reporting. Responsibilities:

• Post-award accounting of and financial management for a portfolio of sponsored projects awarded
  
• Preparation of invoices and various financial reports
  
• Grant expenditure monitoring and analysis for compliance with institutional and federal regulations
  
• Accounting ledger reconciliations, and processing journal entries and budget re-allocation

Qualifications/Background Profile:

• Bachelor's Degree Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
• 3 years' experience in an Accounting/Finance
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, applicable Uniform Guidance Requirements, and other federal grants/contracts regulations
• Experience with accounting processes and procedures, and financial controls for a not-for-profit organization. (Grants Accounting)
• Certified Research Administrator (CRA) Awarded by the Research Administrators Certification Council (Preferred)
