Certified Medical Assistant - Stamford, CT

JOB TITLE : Certified Medical Assistant (New Grads Accepted)

Location : Greenwich, CT - Must be able to travel to all locations (Stamford and Fairfield)

Shifts : 9am - 5pm ( Should work on Saturdays 2x times a month )

REQUIREMENTS:

- 1 year M.A experience in dermatology or plastic surgery (a plus!)

- Bilingual (a plus!)

-Fully vaccinated and boosted

Responsibilities :

• Taking medical histories

• Explaining treatment procedures to patients

• Preparing patients for examination

• Assisting the physician during exams

• Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens

• Performing basic laboratory tests

• Instructing patients about medication and special diets

• Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician

• Authorizing prescription refills as directed

• Assisting the physician or physician assistant on cosmetic and medical procedures such as Therapy, lasers, Coolsculpting, etc.

Administrative Duties:

• Using computer applications

• Answering telephones

• Greeting patients

• Updating and filing patient medical records

• Coding and filling out insurance forms

• Scheduling appointments

• Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services

• Handling correspondence, billing, and bookkeeping
