Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Specimen Accessioning team in Saint Paul, MN. Our Specimen Accessioners are responsible for performing specimen receipt, sample sorting, and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

Schedule: 2nd shift, Tuesday - Saturday 5:00 pm - 1:30 am

Pay: $16.50/hr. plus a 10% shift differential

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

   After your on-site training you will be able to:

  • Receive, unpack, and prepare samples for entry (blood, urine, body fluids, and non-biological samples)
  • Verify and enter patient information into database
  • Label and stabilize sample for testing
  • Sort and deliver samples to multiple technical areas
  • Store, retrieve, and dispose of samples based on life cycle
  • Meet key production metrics while maintaining high quality standards
  • Identify and flag sample issues that may impact testing
  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure your safety and the safety of others

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to work independently under general supervision
  • Able to pass a standardized color blind test
  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50-lbs
  • Strong data entry/10-key and organizational skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Medical/clinical laboratory experience a plus
