General Summary of Position

Job Summary:
As a Hospitality Assistant, you will be responsible for effectively communicating with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock. The Hospitality Assistant must feel comfortable entering patients rooms and interacting with our patients.

This is a part time opportunity. It is a requirement to work rotating weekends.

Primary Duties:

·       Takes patient food orders according to dietary/allergy restrictions.

·       Delivers food carts to correct floor or patient area.

·       Serves trays to patients and assisting with opening containers or cutting foods when requested.

·       Records the amount and type of special food items to patients

·       Collect trays and places garbage and trash in designated containers.

·       Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

·       High school diploma or GED required- but a minimum of 3 years directly relevant job-related experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.

·       1 year of work related experience preferred.
