A Lab Technician position available full time long term. Pay is $17.50 to start with an increase to $19.00/hr after an evaluation period and at which point it is a fully benefited position. Hours will be 12 hr shifts, 7-7 on a floating day/night schedule.
The position involves taking samples, filtering, drying, and operating a piece of equipment to crush them. The crushed powder is then weighed, heated at a high temp, weighed again, and loaded onto a piece of equipment to produce a glass bead, which is then read on the analytical instrument.
Training is offered and no experience is necessary. The candidate needs to be able to be moving around, carrying samples (generally <25 lbs.) from place to place within the lab. They need to have some basic computer skills in Excel and Outlook.
The most important attributes are attention to detail, willingness to learn and follow the company procedures, and reliability to be at work and care that a good job is done.
Valid driver''s license required as you will be driving company vehicle on the property.
