Village Green Landscapes is currently looking for Lawn Care Technician at our St. Paul, Brooklyn Park and Savage locations. Hiring immediately for the upcoming season. Flexible schedule and hours per week. Benefit eligible position (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K), Paid Time Off (PTO), Holiday Pay.
**$1,000 SIGN IN BONUS **
POSITION SUMMARY:This position serves as a key team member to ensure our customer properties are beautiful, safe, and well maintained. Our Lawn Care Technician position provides application of fertilizers and pesticides for the purposes of lawn growth, tree, ornamental turf preservation, and weed control for our customer properties.
They will build positive relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction, brand loyalty, and team collaboration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for handling, mixing, and application of pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, and chemicals via dry and liquid machines
- Operates and maintains all equipment within company safety and preventive maintenance standards
- Maintains records of job status
- Proficient in the use of various operating systems and technology to track and report jobs
- Provides excellent customer service
- Works collaboratively with the team and company leadership
- Works autonomously demonstrating strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates high quality decision making in a fast paced and quickly evolving environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator license for core (A) and turf & ornaments (E)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Valid DOT card or ability to obtain one
- Must be able to pass a pre- employment drug test
