Description:

The Patient Access Services Manager is responsible for putting efficient processes and methodologies in place to ensure timely billing and payment of claims. Patient Access Services Manager also implements strategies to help achieve facility goals related to timely billing and collection of payment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Managing Patient Scheduling and addressing patient concerns.

2. Monitor time of service collection reports and Works with Patient Financial Coordinator.

3. Manages Patient Portal.

4. Oversees all Chart prep for the clinics.

5. Monitors and resolves No Shows within the Athena dashboard.

6. Manage and oversee all front desk bump lists and task box.

7. Provide continuing education to staff regarding insurance, check in/out processes, ABN's, authorizations, and referral processes.

8. Works with the Manager to create training and development plans for staff. Identifies staff in need of retraining and ensures they receive it. Supports staff professional development and makes recommendations for continuing education.

9. Manages to achieve established standards for productivity, quality/accuracy, and patient satisfaction/customer service.

10. Manages the development, implementation, and maintenance of patient access policies and procedures.

11. Manager works with team to meet operational goals, being fair to all staff. Prepares weekly payroll by reviewing timecards/PTO.

12. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in business or related field required. Minimum of five years of experience working in the medical/healthcare front office, business office and demonstrated knowledge of managing patient accounts and collection issues. Experience in accounts receivable, insurance and billing operations preferred. Knowledge and familiarization with Medicare, Medicaid and other Commercial Insurance billing regulations highly preferred.
