Hiring Form Carpenters and Concrete finishers (Journeyman and Helpers)

Long term project based work on Industrial job in Lexington SC just outside of Columbia SC


Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs all essential job functions of a form carpenter or concrete finisher
  • Builds forms, fixtures, or templates with: wood, metal, plastic for use in production of concrete footings, slabs, walls, columns, piers, ramps, or steps
  • Measures, cuts, bends, splices, ties and/or welds rebar, bar supports, welded wire fabric or other support material and places it within the form according to specifications
  • Gathers and organizes materials, equipment and supplies to be used in form building or concrete finishing
  • Uses hand and power tools, as well as light equipment, to measure, cut and otherwise form material to specified dimensions
  • Communicates and acts in a safe manner to ensure that a safe, accident/incident-free work environment is maintained for all co-workers, customers, clients and suppliers at all times


This is long term project based work offering minimum 40 hours of work. Hiring locals only, no per diem available.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial or industrial construction
  • Willingness to show up on time and with a good attitude daily, contribute to the success of the project
  • Ability to communicate/ take directions with foremen and team members
  • Ability to Measure and cut wood and metal precisely
  • Recognizing and correcting job site hazards
  • Consistent focus on Safety, Productivity and Quality
  • Lifting up to 50lb or more
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Climbing ladders, working at heights, wearing/using fall protection harness
  • Having necessary PPE and tolls to stay in safety compliance and complete daily assignments 
  • Having reliable transportation
