Certified Peer Support Specialist

Alamance Academy/Charlotte location is looking for a Certified Peer Support Specialist for our Community Support Team. CPSS will be part of a team setting working with a caseload of up to 36 clients. CST is comprised of a Team Lead, Substance Abuse Counselor, Qualified Professional and Certified Peer Support Specialist. CPSS will be supervised by Team Lead and Qualified Professional and will be responsible for helping to link clients on the team with community resources, linking with housing and working with the TCL program in that area to help get the clients into housing when indicated. Our CST team seeks to help individuals we work with to become more empowered and independent by delivering support, education, community resources, medication management, therapy and a wrap-a-round team approach. CPSS will mostly work with clients in the community and some transportation of clients may be necessary until we empower them to utilize public transportation, etc. CPSS will need to meet any required trainings by upper management, will need to attend weekly team meetings and monthly supervisions at a minimum. CPSS is required to write a clinical service note after each encounter with clients.
