Inventory Specialist I

Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual, who has strong communication skills, to join our team as an Inventory Specialist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Completing scheduled and requested cycle counts.
• Evaluating and managing stock rotation procedures (FIFO).
• Communicating with management about any inventory issues.
• Work with management if products are missing or damaged within a shipment.
• Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies.
• Inspecting shipments for lot code and quantity accuracy.
• Maintain necessary files and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven work experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role.
• Minimum 1 years of Inventory experience.
• Experience using inventory management software.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of word processor, database and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to operate light and medium equipment, including Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Able to work weekends on occasion.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Frequently lifting boxes and bag ingredients weighing between 20 and 50 pounds.

• Regularly exposed to working near moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration.

• Area temperature range is 75 to 90 degrees.
