The Purchasing Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing our procurement processes and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services. The primary focus of this position is data analysis to support the Director of Purchasing. This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate and maintain accurate and detailed reports on procurement performance, vendor performance, and expenditure analysis for Management.
  • Assists with periodic physical inventory audits.
Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain analysis is highly desirable.

Skills and Abilities

  • Prior experience in resolving and handling customer/supplier requests and issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, accounting department, operations team, and outside vendors.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Working Environment and Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer printer or calculator, occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Must have the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
