Job Description

The Senior e-Learning Designer will develop creative, thoughtful, innovative learning solutions that contribute to world class technical capabilities and performance. Will advance learning experiences that facilitate acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies, and ultimately improve on-the-job performance and achieve business goals. They play a key role in designing and developing engaging and impactful learning experiences utilizing advanced authoring tools, and will work to mentor and coach peers and promote collaboration cross functionally.

Ideal candidates bring high technological aptitude and collaboration abilities. They obtain exceptional learning and development acumen and high-level consulting experience. They are leaders in the L&D space and have a passion for mentoring and coaching peers and others cross divisionally. They have experience leading large-scale L&D initiatives to deliver effective learning solutions. They are strong communicators who listen effectively,  are well-organized, can manage competing priorities, and build relationships effortlessly.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, educational technology or certification in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of professional work experience in creating training content, preferably in a senior or lead role. Includes a minimum of 3 years’ experience with eLearning authoring tools (such as Articulate, Captivate, etc.) and multimedia editing software, experience in instructional design methodologies, learning theories, and adult learning principles.
  • Solid knowledge of at least one Learning Management System (such as Cornerstone, Saba Cloud, Blackboard, etc.) AND visual design skills within tools such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Ability to effectively benchmark, apply strong analytic acumen, data analysis, ROI, and data mining in order to drive innovative learning solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence across various levels challenging the status quo.
  • Ability to learn quickly with a high degree of ownership, excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with varying timelines. Adapt to changing priorities, and consistently delivering on commitments.
  • Success in this role requires you to be both strategically minded and technically-adept, with innovative and proactive problem- solving skills, along with the ability to exercise integrity and sound judgment in complex and ambiguous situations.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in instructional design, educational technology, etc. or certification in related field.
  • Experience with Agile or SAFe principles in relation to learning development.


Additional Information

a. Partner with various internal stakeholders (including Executive level)/Subject Matter Experts to identify training requirements, gaps, and business opportunities for assigned projects.

b. Define learning objectives and design, develop, and evaluate training solutions. Ensure learning-focused processes, tools, programs, and expectations are followed appropriately to achieve efficiency and optimize learning and performance.

c. Create storyboards and scripts for multiple delivery methods including augmented and virtual reality.

d. Leverage a variety of media, such as video and audio to create learning solutions. Utilize instructional design software, eLearning authoring tools, and emerging technologies to enhance learning experiences and engagement.

e. Conduct quality reviews and assessments of learning materials to ensure instructional integrity, effectiveness, and adherence to design standards. In addition, will gather feedback and data to make continuous improvement recommendations.

f. Follow systematic training methodology and program management process to effectively deliver learning outcomes while also having the ability to troubleshoot (research, find root cause and fix) technical course issues within the Learning Management Systems and existing library of courses.

g. Coach, mentor and lead peers through complex solution design and development projects.

h. Other duties as assigned.
