Command & Decision (C&D) Engineer
Location: Mount Laurel, NJ
Boarhog. LLC is seeking a Command & Decision (C&D) Engineer to be a member of a C&D AEGIS product team supporting the customer requirements of the AEGIS Program. This position is located in Mount Laurel, NJ where Technology and Teamwork come together to provide independent service and support to the team of AEGIS Technical Representatives. The qualified candidate shall provide C&D product engineering and technical support as well as independent quality assessments of development of computer programs critical to the defense of the United States and Foreign Military Sales.
Responsibilities:
The candidate's primary responsibilities will be to support the technical and process aspects of the integration and development of the product-based AEGIS Weapon System and Ballistic Missile Defense functionality into the AEGIS Combat System environment. The candidate’s responsibilities will include and not be limited to the following:
• Technically assess C&D product testing aspects conducted by the developer and or other Government agencies.
• Apply knowledge, principles, functions and operational procedures related to the Command & Decision (C&D) System and Weapon Control System (WCS) in both air and ballistic engagement scenarios. Included tests: Regression, Stress, Requirement Verification, System Stability, Endurance, and Integration. Troubleshot anomalies encountered during testing.
• Design and write specification changes as required by customer in multiple C&D software components (Tracking, Weapons, Navigation, Link/C2P, Air Control, and Display) along with conducting design reviews of new functionality.
• Provide systems testing/analysis, and investigate all test observation reports documented during various engineering test shots and review for baseline applicability and errors in system behavior
• Utilize digital engineering techniques and apply model-based system engineering principles across processes.
• Develop, integrate, and test AEGIS baseline variations of the Command and Decision(C&D) element focusing on the Electronic Warfare and JTT capabilities.
• Coordinated the integration of software fixes alongside software engineers.
• Analyze recorded test data from engineering test shots and ship test events to assure system performance, event reconstruction, and root cause software issues observed.
• Perform installation and system checkout of C&D applications aboard ship as required.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in any of the recognized Engineering disciplines and/or 6 years of equivalent experience with US Navy / AEGIS Combat System
  • Proficient with Microsoft Professional Tools Suite
  • Experience with Dassault and Atlassian software applications
  • Experienced with IBM Rational Software tools and thorough understanding of requirements traceability
  • Detailed understanding of the AEGIS Combat System data analysis structure to assist in innovating and promoting new methods to assess data more efficiently
  • Demonstrate and provide technical inputs instinctually when required
  • Demonstrate quick decisions and apply logical reasoning within fast pace and highly visual situations
  • Demonstrate the willingness and desire to further gain technical knowledge
  • Possess excellent oral, written, and leadership skills and work independently
  • U. S. Citizen and eligible for a DOD Security Clearance
