Java Developer - Spring Boot, Kafka - 52350

Pay Range - $35 - $40/hr

We have an immediate long-term opportunity with one of our prime clients for a position of Java Developer to work in Columbus, OH OR Minneapolis, MN on Hybrid basis.

Must Have

I will look at 2-3 years of experience, but they have to have good communication skills

Java Spring Boot

Kafka

Any Cloud CI/CD

Overview:

  • Will focus on Standby Cash app - went live 2 years ago - overdraft/mini-loan with no interest
  • Need Java and QA to supplement current mainframe dev
  • Deploying on GCP but also AWS is in the data space
  • Partner with front end channel partners/digital teams
  • Mainly code in backend java
  • Most applications are vendor based it's all from servicing perspective for standby cash
  • Biggest piece is the rest development

Development Methodology: Quasi agile

Must-Haves (Concepts & Tools):

  • Java all backend
  • Rest APIs looking for someone with strong rest API exp
  • JSON
  • Gitsource/Github
  • Jenkins
  • Spring framework (boot)
  • Eclipse
  • Kafka
  • Cloud ideally GCP

Nice to have:

  • Maven
  • Eclipse

Soft Skills:

  • Ability to drive
  • Problem solver
  • Motivated
  • Self-sufficient
  • Ideally 7 years' experience but can flex for strong candidate
