Job Description

The Manager Credit will supervise the credit department which has the task of gathering credit information relative to extending credit to gaming customers.They will report to the Director of Credit but manage the Executives and Clerks.

  • Responsible for granting, compliance and extension and/or denial of credit pursuant to the policies and procedures of Ocean Casino Resort submission and New Jersey Gaming Regulations
  • Responsible for the distribution and administration of performance appraisals, commendations, constructive letters and progressive discipline to all reporting levels of Credit Department team members
  • Interacts with the cashier’s cage, games and slot Departments to ensure markers are issued in a timely and proper manner (customer service related)
  • Responsible for problem solving and overseeing the processing of credit applications
  • Complies with all New Jersey regulatory requirements
  • Maintains confidentiality of all Ocean Casino Resort trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and any other confidential information

Requirements

  • The ability to speak read and write in English
  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the Casino/Hotel areas​
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three (3) years of related experience in casino credit
  • Excellent clerical, office and managerial skills
  • Computer related experience desired including AS400, CMS, and/or ACSC systems
  • Ability to independently maintain high levels of productivity
  • General business and accounting knowledge
  • Knowledge of credit procedures and administration
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • ​Credit, cage or casino experience required
