Assists the parts department personnel and manager to run warehouse

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Load and unload trucks and trailers by hand or by use of a hand truck, forklift, or dolly.
• Sort incoming freight as stock or pass through as nonstock; opens packages and boxes, verifies accuracy of shipment; inspects for damage and records discrepancies and report findings to Purchasing Agent.
• Places stock items on storage shelves and adjusts inventory control records through the receiving process
• Notifies appropriate parties when special order parts arrive.
• Prepare bills of lading for shipment. Box, pad and secure items to prevent damage during shipments.
• Check in returned parts and cores and put them in proper location.
• Assist in returning cores and new returns
• Prepare return tickets or warranty materials and record damage of faulty material.
• Report out-of-stock items to parts manager.
• Maintain the warehouse so it is clean, organized, and safe for all employees.
• Helps deliver parts to the back counter and shop
• Assures proper control of the parts inventory and related administrative functions.
• Assist at counter with customers when necessary.
• Helps maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid Driver's License

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.
