Mail Sorter - 9:00am to 5:30pm Shift

The Domestic Sorter will perform domestic United States mail processing ensuring the mail is correctly sorted, clearly printed and that labels are placed correctly; will ensure all sorting procedures are properly followed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sort all mail by sort area requirements and in accordance with company quality process standards.
• Meet sorting production quota standards.
• Inspect each piece of mail to ensure the identification are affixed correctly and the zip code on the identification matches the address zip code.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Duties may include reassignment to alternate operational areas as business needs require.
• Essential duties are not necessarily exhaustive and may be supplemented or otherwise revised by the client at its sole discretion.
  
  EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• High School or equivalent training and/or related experience preferred
  
  REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
• Understand and carry out oral instructions.
• Ability to sort alphabetically and numerically.
• Understand standardized math processes, e.g., count, addition and subtraction.
• Work under pressure, rapidly for long periods of time.
• Work as a member of a team.
• This work is routine by nature with established routines and standing instructions.
• This is a warehouse environment where frequently this position will be exposed to cold, hot and changing temperatures; will constantly experience noise at medium level not damaging or loud enough to require protective equipment; will frequently be exposed to dust, dirt and changes in lighting.
