Our facility is in need of a Retail Pharmacy Manager – PIC

The Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) of retail pharmacy pharmacist is responsible for the management of all aspects of outpatient pharmacy services retail, specialty and assists with transitions of care. Responsible for providing direction and leadership to pharmacy technicians who provide pharmaceutical care to patients. The pharmacist will lead the development and maintenance of safe, timely, efficient, equitable, effective, and patient-centered pharmacy patient care services.

Qualifications :

• Doctorate of Pharmacy degree or Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Current Pharmacist certification or licensure in the State of Georgia.
• Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education or subsequent training.

Knowledge of:

• Principles and practices involved in compounding and dispensing of prescriptions.
• Pharmaceuticals, drugs and narcotics.
• Calculation of doses and the preparation and use of percentage and stock solutions.
• Clinical applications involving parenteral and compounded therapies.
• SNF Reimbursement systems including PDPM, Medicare Part B/D and Medicaid or the ability to develop an understanding of each.
• JCAHO principles and guidelines.
• Inventory Control and related record keeping.
• Compliance with external regulatory agencies and organizations for all areas of responsibility.
