Job Title: Maintenance Stockroom Supervisor
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Manager

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for stockroom, maintaining proper inventories of parts, tools, etc., manages Stockroom personnel to provide excellent customer service to all departments while ensuring the safety and security of the stockroom.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Improves working conditions, safety, quality, productivity, cost, and increases subordinates’ skill capabilities through job development, coaching, and training
- Partner with Maintenance Manager to improve overall processes
- Drives departmental performance utilizing tools such as Lean and 5S
- Interprets company policies and safety regulations to workers ensuring compliance
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet maintenance schedules
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
- Addresses procedural problems by researching root cause, recommending solutions, and providing on the job training to subordinates
- Problem analysis and problem resolution, provides leadership to reports
- Leads inventories of Stockroom and investigates any discrepancies
- Strives to contain costs while maintaining a high level of service
- Manage the addition of new parts and tools to inventory and establish minimum and maximums for all items
- Insures that Team members have proper resources and training to perform their jobs
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
- Maintains and utilizes time and maintenance records
- Must be able to delegate and prioritize
- Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas working continuously to improve; takes ownership of the facilities
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet maintenance schedules
- Ensures inventory counts are correct, tools are secure, and parts are allocated to jobs
- Manage the addition of new parts and tools to inventory and establish minimum and maximums for all items
- Provides timely performance reviews to subordinates, constructive feedback, and coaching to improve skills and performance
- Represents management with leadership ability to gain trust and support of hourly Team members
- Achieve desired results in Safety by demonstrating personal commitment and leading safety processes to sustain a safe work environment.
- Implement and coordinate department safety education and processes in accordance with corporate best practices and policies
- Complies with all BRC practices, check lists, and policies within the facility
- Keeps in compliance with and abreast of all TOSHA regulations, enforces all safety regulations and policies
- Team to keep TV updated downstairs/parts/info
- Real time data/feedback on parts with daily updates or follow ups with vendors.
- Have team member in every shift change meeting to give or update info.
- Manage Centre South startup and supplying stock room there and see it through to completion.
- PM Kit program
- Catalog of all parts inventory of parts across with real time data
- Critical list parts
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Understanding JDE, E-1 experience preferred. Experience as a Maintenance Stockroom supervisor also preferred with inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment with multiple locations. Must be mechanically oriented, have experience in troubleshooting problems, and malfunctions. Proficient in MS Office applications - Word, Outlook, Excel. Working knowledge of large-scale ERP systems preferred. High school diploma or higher, Associates degree or technical certification preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have the ability to read, understand, and communicate to others the meaning of complex documents including legal documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, and communicate in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide both fractions and decimals, solve equations, read measurements. Use formulas to calculate and analyze data.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with arms and hands. Frequently is required to climb, balance, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. While in plant, may frequently lift/move 25 to 75 pounds. Must be able to perform these functions for a minimum of 8 hours straight (with a 30-minute meal break any other applicable breaks during the shift) on a regular basis. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team member successfully performing the essential functions of this job. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Normal office environment, frequently in plant around moving machinery and equipment, loud noise, heat, fumes and paper dust.
