- Preparing patients for dental work.
- Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
- Assisting dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary.
- Assisting Dentist with procedures when necessary.
- Providing great patient care.
- Recording treatment information in patient records.
- Performing dental x-rays from dental diagnostics and caring for dental x-ray equipment.
- Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and aftercare.
- Caring for dental equipment.
- Scanning for preliminary impressions for retainers, appliances, and tray systems.
- Maintain before and after daily duties to include the clinic, lab, and sterilization.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of orthodontic dental assisting experience is required
- Must be familiar with the Damon Bracket System
- Must be familiar with the Iterro Scanner
- Knowledge of Invisalign/Spark Aligners
- Must be able to travel between both office locations.
