This position is responsible for plate presentation and prompt delivery of each dish. The Expediter will assist the Head Chef in keeping the kitchen stocked with necessary items, dressing each plate with the appropriate condiments to complete presentation, and ensure efficient delivery to members and guests. This person will also cook and be responsible for preparing recipes with an attention-to-detail and sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority;
• Assist in the final preparation of dishes;
• Execute quality assurance checks on outbound orders checking dishes for accuracy and presentation before giving to members or guests;
• Prepare standardized recipes in our kitchens for all food and beverage locations;
• Prepare appetizers, salads, main dishes, desserts, and fast food items with proper presentation;
• Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, and meats;
• Measure quantities of seasonings and other ingredients;
• Work all hot and cold stations of the line including boiling, baking, grilling, frying;
• Utilize knife skills and kitchen tools and equipment;
• Develop daily preparation lists for anticipated business, monitor inventories, and receive orders;
• Stock and execute proper rotation of all products;
• General cleaning including, but not limited to, washing dishes, cooking utensils, and cookware, taking out the trash, sanitizing kitchen equipment and work stations, and sweeping and mopping floors
• Communicate efficiently and work in a team-oriented environment to ensure smooth service operations;
• Demonstrate strong attention-to-detail, organizational, retention and problem-solving skills even while working under a sense of urgency;
• Ensures compliance with food safety certification and standards following all local, state, and federal requirements;
• Follow all safety and health guidelines as outlined by the company; and,
• All other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old;
• 5+ years cook/line cook/prep cook experience required;
• Knowledge of HACCP, proper food handling techniques, temperatures, and food safety including food allergies;
• ServeSafe Certification a plus;
• Lift 50+ pounds and stand for an extended period of time;
• Ability to work flexible shift/hours including weekday, evening & weekend hours;
• Ability to work overtime if needed;
• Energetic and motivated; and,
• Must display a positive attitude and professional image in compliance with PADONIA.

Environmental Conditions and Physical Expectations:

• Must stand, walk, and sit;
• Must be able to work in both indoors and at outdoor venues that include a variety of weather conditions including hot or cold temperatures; and,
• Ability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
