POOL BAR + CAFE SERVER

About our Company:   

We are a premier hospitality company with a 30,000 case DTC operation in the Temecula Wine Country. We are farming over 200 acres with 22 French and Italian varietals under the Bottaia and Ponte Winery labels.  

We are looking for an experienced, passionate individual to be a part of our team at our Bottaia Winery. We are located on the Ponte Family Estate Ranch which is just east of the Ponte Winery Tasting Room. The Bottaia Tasting Room and Pool Club bring a unique experience to Temecula Wine Country, including new wines, a semi-Olympic size pool, a splash pad for the kids, and 30 cabines (traditional Italian beach changing rooms), and a poolside bar and café.

Summary:

The Seasonal Pool Bar + Cafe Server will primarily focus on providing our guests with excellent customer service while educating the guest on their wine tastings.

Compensation: $16.00 hourly + Tips+ WC Commissions

Schedule:

• Wednesday - Sunday, 11am-6pm
• Weekends are a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet guests with a smile and respond quickly to requests in a friendly and courteous manner informing them of daily specials and answering questions regarding menu items.
• Be knowledgeable of all menu items and pricing.
• Efficiently take and deliver food and beverage orders from guests, input into the POS system, and ensure timely and consistent service of orders.
• Deliver food and beverages ensuring timely, consistent, and quality food.
• Pre bus tables between courses.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform side work at the end of the shift.
• Process guest payments in a timely and efficient manner ensuring accuracy of guest check.
• Be willing to assist fellow servers and bus persons as needed.
• Maintains friendly, polite, and appropriate behavior (such as posture, eye contact, smile, etc.) throughout the whole interaction with the guests.
• Makes management aware of all issues in regard to malfunctioning equipment, and/or damaged furnishings in the café.
• Thank the guest for coming and invite them to return.
• Assist guests in wine and merchandise purchases.
• Ensure the safety of guests and associates.
• Other duties as assigned by your Manager.
• Understand and adhere to environmental standards set by the winery.
• Understand and adhere to the BOTTAIA values and service standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to focus for an entire shift, trouble shooting and prioritizing skills.
• Must have exceptional grooming standards that are consistent with company guidelines.
• 1-3 years in a sales related field.
• Must be outgoing and able to approach guests and initiate conversation.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time, and in the outdoors, during inclement weather. 
• Must be able to lift 40 - 50lbs regularly.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience with wine desirable but not essential.
• Positive attitude, good conversational skills and enjoys working with the guests.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to engage the guests in a clear and professional manner.
• Be willing and able to work well under pressure.
• Work in high paced work environment.
• Must have excellent communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Riverside County Food Handler’s Card.
• Must have the ability to obtain an ABC Responsible Beverage Service certificate.
