Cedarhurst, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a full-time Business Office Manager at our Cedar Creek of Prairie Meadows community.

As a Business Office Manager, you will play a key role within the community and organization. You will be responsible for supporting the Executive Director and working with other department heads to serve our residents and their families, as well as be the point of contact for community employees to assist with questions and concerns. In addition, you will manage the financial and human resource duties within the community and will be the “go to” person for billing and onboarding processes.

As a Business Office Manager, working with the Executive Director, you will impact the lives of our residents by

  • Ability to oversee the functions of the business office, including, but not limited to, assisting with marketing functions, tours and participation in community activities.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times with the ability to effectively perform conflict intervention and resolution for residents, families, employees, and others as needed.
  • Ability to work well with others and take direction from management, as well as take initiative – willing to go above and beyond to ensure our residents needs are met and they are comfortable in their living environment.
  • Must remain flexible and have the ability to work weekends as Manager on Duty, when necessary.

To become a Business Office Manager, you will need –

  • High School diploma or equivalent required with 2-4 years of related experience
  • Leadership and organizational skills.
  • Must have experience with accounting functions, such as A/P, A/R, posting ledgers, balancing, and reconciling accounts.
  • Experience with processing new hire information & payroll, basic human resources experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to meet all physical demands of the job which includes, but is not limited to seeing, speaking, touching, walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, crouching/kneeling or crawling, as well as the ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs independently and up to 100lbs with assistance.
  • Self-motivated to accomplish identified goals with a strong sense of accountability for results.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as: Microsoft Office, Prism, Kronos, Yardi, electronic health records (EHR) systems.
