ABOUT OISELLE:
Oiselle is a Seattle-based by women, for women athletic apparel company that has always loved to go fast, take chances. We make running apparel for female athletes of all ages, paces, and places and bring together a community of women who love to move, run, and fly. Our mission is threefold: make great product, improve the sport, and build the sisterhood. We believe in the transformative power of sport, and our product line is available on oiselle.com, at our Flagship Store, and through more than 150 retailers across the country, including REI and Title Nine.

WHO WE WANT:
We are looking for someone to manage our retail and wholesale business who is excited about joining a growing brand. In this role, you will serve as our Retail & Wholesale Manager, working with a cross-functional team to execute strategy, drive revenue and growth, and build the Oiselle brand in retail. This individual will be responsible for store management of our flagship retail store location, as well as leadership of our wholesale business end-to-end including forecasting, booking futures, retailer relationship building and education, order fulfillment, sell-through, and our B2B ecommerce site. If you love building relationships, geeking out over running apparel, and have a keen attention to detail to detail and process, this could be a great opportunity for you! 

Note: this role is located in Seattle, Washington, and will be required to regularly be on-site at our Green Lake office, and in our retail store in University Village. 

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

Retail Store Leadership
  • Lead and own Oiselle’s Flagship store location in University Village
  • Create an aspirational, branded, in-real-life manifestation of Oiselle through all aspects of customer experience
  • Own the budget, revenue and profitability for the store
  • Author strategy and approach for all store operations, merchandising, customer experience, staffing, scheduling, etc.
  • Own and execute store-level marketing with the support of the marketing team
  • Manage a team to execute the day to day flawlessly
  • Own and oversee TNFC (Thursday Night Flight Club Running Group), other store level programs, and brand partnerships to foster a strong local run community

Wholesale Leadership
  • Sell Oiselle seasonal product lines into wholesale for all accounts including sports specialty, REI, Title Nine, and others
  • Author wholesale strategy to ensure healthy brand growth in the short-term and long-term
  • Achieve mutually agreed upon sell-in and sell through goals for each season
  • Identify and foster meaningful, positive relationships with key wholesale accounts
  • Build customer relationship management system and end-to-end wholesale processes for Oiselle
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and marketing to develop and document calendars and processes as pertaining to selling, shipping, assets, and marketing cycles
  • Develop and implement trade marketing communication calendar, such as product education, seasonal news, and other relationship-building content
  • Lead and own trade-focused events, such as The Running Event, end-to-end
  • Identify targeted opportunities for liquidation of older inventory with key liquidator accounts (Moosejaw, TJX, REI Outlet, Bealls) 
  • Leadership and oversight of Oiselle’s offsite retail events – pop ups, warehouse and sample sales, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY ATTRIBUTES/EXPERIENCE:
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills. Can speak and write succinctly across a variety of communication channels and is able to adjust style appropriate to the intended audience.
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills. Loves learning and building systems and processes for efficiency.
  • Inspires trust and collaboration with others. Is an avid listener, brings a curious mind to projects and challenges.
  • Is a proactive in nature and results-oriented.
  • Detail-oriented workstyle, with emphasis on precision, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working with multiple systems to process transactions while maintaining consistency in execution. Knowledge of web-based systems (Google Suite, Microsoft Office applications, Shopify, inventory management systems, and others).
  • Has experience owning a sales channel or retail management end-to-end.
  • 2-3 years of experience in apparel wholesale and/or retail management is mandatory.
  • Experience working in running retail is a significant plus.
  • Passion for women’s running and apparel is important.
