Position Description:

The Levitate Backyard’s sixth inaugural season is right around the corner and the entire Levitate crew can’t wait to serve up some fully refreshed food and drink, live music everyday, and 25+ ticketed shows to our community. We’re looking to add a few new hospitality-centric bartenders to the crew who are psyched on serving up great moments to members of the Levitate community. When you’re Behind the bar, it’s your job to mix up some of our signature drinks while keeping morale high for yourself, customers and coworkers, creating a top notch experience for anyone who approaches your station. Providing thoughtful, connected service to members of our community is the key ingredient that defines the Levitate Brand and our bartenders are a key point of contact to this mindset for our community. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide an exceptional experience for all guests, thoughtfully engaging with everyone that approaches your bar
  • Be a productive, positive, supportive member of the team
  • Serve as an outpost of knowledge for all things levitate
  • Ensures quality interactions with guests for duration of service
  • Assisting with opening and closing duties, such as restocking the bar with garnishes, straws, and napkins, ensuring that Bartenders have clean towels, disposables, etc.
  • Work with Bar backs to ensure the bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer.
  • Checking taps and appliances to confirm that they are working properly, making minor repairs,  and changing out kegs if needed.
  • Keeping the bar clean by wiping down surfaces, sweeping and mopping, removing trash, scrubbing coolers and storage areas, and emptying trash receptacles.
  • Understanding of full menu items and memorization of cocktail recipes with high attention to pours and ingredients
  • Follows sanitation guidelines for washing, rinsing and sanitizing all surfaces and equipment
  • Helps unload, organize and inventory deliveries.
  • Sweeps and mops floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
  • Takes out trash and rinses garbage cans.
  • Supports other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
  • Maintains a positive attitude and ability to work in a busy environment. 
  • Must wear closed toed and non-slip shoes, pull back all loose hair, and be trained in the basics of food safety.
