Janitorial / Logistics – Seasonal

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facilities. This is a vital role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and tidy all grounds, buildings, restrooms, kitchen areas, parking lots, etc.
• Ensure spaces are prepared by taking out trash & recycling, tidying furniture and dusting and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Wash, disinfect, sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
• Wipe mirrors and windows
• Sweep, mop, vacuum floors
• Restocking toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, and other company provided supplies.
• Maintain outer premises by watering plants, snow removal, cleaning entrances & walkways, weeding & removing litter from grounds
• Empty waste containers and remove trash to designated areas
• Clean and vacuum pools
• Must be able to operate & maintain equipment & tools necessary, including but not limited to, dishwashers, scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, strippers, brooms, mops, etc.
• Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows and arming the alarms in the buildings
• Must adhere to COVID protocols while performing duties and interacting with others.
• Perform general cleaning duties, including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming

Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas

• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when restocking is necessary
• Perform general maintenance tasks and repairs such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor plumbing issues. Report all damages and repairs
• Follow established safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness standards

Logistics

• Undertake other custodial and janitorial tasks (lifting heavy items, moving chairs, setup & break down for classrooms, catered events, etc.)
• Assist with all preseason and post season tasks as directed by Manager
• Set up, breakdown and organize all equipment for catering, child care, special events, and all other functions.
• Organize and maintain all warehouses and storage facilities (refrigerated, frozen, paper, dry goods, etc.)
• Support Special Events & Catering
• Support Child Care and Summer Camps
• Support Club Membership
• Safely transport items to various club locations.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· 2 years cleaning experience

· Excellent customer service skills

· Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role

· Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances

· Knowledge of safe labeling and disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components

· Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices

· High attention to detail and conscientiousness

· Ability to perform manual labor of varying intensity, indoors and outdoors.

· Good communication skills with customers & staff

· High School Diploma, GED or higher

· Valid driver's license

· Age 18+

· Submit to pre-placement background check and drug screen with favorable results

· Ability to stand, walk or bend continuously

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently

· Ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions

· Ability to read and carry out instructions and recognize safety warnings

· Ability to pass background check

· Ability to work flexible shift/hours including weekday, evening & weekend hours, throughout the season

· Ability to work overtime if needed

· Must be able to work in outdoor conditions

· Energetic, motivated, organized

· Must display a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and professional image in compliance with PADONIA
